1. What are the payment terms for photo and video coverage?

An initial non-refundable deposit of Php 5,000 is required as a reservation fee, which is completely deductible from the total package price. Four (4) weeks before the event, 50% of the remaining balance shall be paid, and the other 50% will be collected immediately after the event. Currently, only cash and check payments are accepted. When paying using a check, please address it to Ultravision Copy and Print Center.

2. Do the prices apply to out-of-town events? How about permits?

Prices reflected in this website are applicable for events within Quezon City (except Fairview and Novaliches), Manila, Mandaluyong, Makati, San Juan, Caloocan, Pasay, Pasig and Marikina cities only, as specified in our terms and conditions. However, we do cater to  events outside this circumferential area at an additional cost, to take into account the cost of transportation and other logistics. With some venues we might insist on having some lodging accommodations, this together with transport and the out of town fee will all be charged to the client.

With regards to permits, the client is responsible for acquiring all the necessary permits. If needed, the client can coordinate with Ultravision to secure the said permits. The permits and the cost of acquiring the permits will then be charged to the account of the client.

3. How many locations are allowed in the packages?

For Party packages, only one location will be permitted for the same price. However, additional locations may be permitted at an extra cost.

For Basic packages up to three locations are allowed, typically in   weddings: (1)the bridal preparation, (2)the church and (3)the reception.

For Deluxe packages up to three locations are allowed, typically in   weddings: (1)the bridal preparation, (2)the church and (3)the reception.

For Premium Packages, up to four different locations: (1)the bridal  preparations, (2)groom preparations, (3)the church and (4)the reception.

4. Is it possible to create a customized package?

Yes. Come visit our studio to create your own package, or email us your needs and we will make a quotation for your package.

5. Can Ultravision cover events such as conventions, graduations, talks, forums…etc. for documentary purposes?

Yes.  We are equipped with a diverse range of cameras to fit any and all your needs…and budget.

6. How many images can I expect when choosing a package with “Unlimited shots”? How large can I print my CD proofs?

It depends on how much of a program you have prepared. Expect around 1,000 images for weddings. The average number of images is around 800-1,200 but it can reach as many as 2,000 images in some cases. All shots are made at the highest possible resolution.

Firstly, it is not recommended that you print from the CD Proof included in your package. It is a low resolution file that is made solely for viewing in a computer or for emailing or sharing in the internet or your cell phone. The larger high resolution files can be acquired at an extra cost and even then we keep a copy of these files as a record, so you can order this anytime.

7. Will I receive the negatives when choosing a package with “Traditional Photography”?

No. Only the proofs either in 3R or 4R will be given to the client.

8. How many photo/video crew will be going to cover my event?

For Party Packages and Basic Packages there will only be 3 or 4 in the photo/video crew, Deluxe packages typically have 4-5 in the photo/video crew while Premium packages can have 8 in the photo/video crew.

9. Can I give up my free stuff in order to gain discounts?

No, free items are not redeemable for cash or any other type of discount. Forfeiture of a free item will not affect package price. Some free items like the Thank You Card require the client to schedule pre nuptial pictorial at least 1 month before the event, if the requirements are not met this will result in the forfeiture of the item/s. For a more detailed insight into requirements, please contact us.

10. Will I receive the RAW (unedited) footage? What format will it come in? How much RAW footage should I expect?

It depends on the package. Most have raw footage  in VCD format. Typically a 1-cam setup for most events (except Party Packages) would yield around 3 hours of RAW footage. A 2-cam setup would produce similarly around 3 hours of RAW footage per cam, so it would total approximately 6 hours total RAW footage.

11. Does Ultravision make corporate Audio Visual Presentations (AVPs) as well?

Yes. Come visit our studio to view some samples of corporate AVPs.

12. What is the difference between VCD and DVD?

Both formats are digital therefore are much better than the older VHS tapes that we had gotten used to but there is a huge difference in the quality and features that DVD can offer as opposed to VCD. Firstly, DVDs can contain up to 2 hours of video while a VCD can only hold a little over an hour (around 80mins). DVDs have a resolution of 720 x 480 while VCD can only hold half that at 352 x 240. DVDs can also contain 5.1 channels of surround audio while a VCD can only handle 2 channels. A VCD is more compressed and therefore the quality suffers a lot more than DVDs. That being said, DVDs are more expensive than VCDs and so are the (DVD) players, but while all DVD players can play VCDs no VCD player can play DVDs. DVDs can also contain interactive menus with motions and submenus, while a VCD can only have one menu.

13.  For Photo/Video AVP, how many locations and days can be included for shooting?

The most basic Photo/Video AVP are captured for only one day (8 hours max incl. 2 1 hour breaks) and one location, however, a limitless number of days and locations can be added at an additional cost.

14. How long will it take to get the Album and Edited DVD/VCD copy?

For the first part, we have to process certain elements in the digital files, as such we need 3-4 weeks to do this and present the client with the proofs and the unedited video. The client plays a role here in the speed with which he makes the choice of the pictures to be included in the wedding album. From past experiences, it usually takes between 4-6 months to create and edit the whole package. This is because every album and video is unique and we make sure that it comes out perfect.

15. Do I need to feed the crew?

We do not demand this but we would prefer that you do at least one meal since there’s usually not much time to spare during the coverage and the practice has always been to include our crew together with the wedding coordinators and the musical entertainers of the wedding reception in the meals that they provide for these people.

16. How many Megapixels do your cameras have?

We have a wide variety of cameras that we use for any type of occasion varying from 4-10 Megapixels. The fact is, aside from blow-up images beyond 8x10 inches, 3 Megapixel cameras are usually sufficient for making prints.  More important than the number of Megapixels is the sensor size and lens, a 10 megapixel Point and shoot camera cannot outgun a DSLR. We use only pro quality lenses and cameras with big sensors.

17. What is MTV style? Can I have my video edited the old fashioned way?

MTV style or MTV highlights means that the video will be edited down to show only the most important events. This will be made to go with the proper music and timings. A typical MTV style video will have a Total Running Time of 40-50 minutes.

Yes, you can. You just have to request it before the event.
